RESEARCH LIBRARY
The Erwin Welsch Memorial Research Library is a non- circulating research library which focuses on all aspects of railroading with a particular emphasis on railroading in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The library is dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of historical, social, economic and technical knowledge of railroading and railroad modeling.
The Library collection covers railroads throughout Central and South America, Europe, and Asia. Reference materials include books, periodicals, professional journals, government publications, manuscript materials, maps, engineering drawings, DVDs, videotapes, slides, photographs, and other ephemera.
The collection also includes material on model railroading in all scales. The online catalog now contains: 1316 railroad and model railroad magazine titles with 7102 individual issues and over 6000 books, 1700 videos and DVDs [Hint: Search Keyword video or DVD].
Searching is as easy as 1-2-3: 1. Click on the Search tab to begin and Select "All Words"; "Titles", "Author", or Subject" 2. Type a keyword or keywords into the dialog box 3. Click on Search and then the title underlined in blue.
