Nebraska Early Learning Library

NELL is housed at the Early Childhood Training Center in La Vista, Nebraska. It is home to thousands of books, DVDs, CDs, journals, and newsletters that address subjects such as early childhood care and education, child development, parents and families, children with special needs, arts and curriculum support and more.

We ship for free state-wide and also include a free, pre-paid return label with your requested materials. Once you have selected what you would like to borrow, place your order by selecting "Request Hold" and filling out the form.
*Please note that requested materials cannot be shipped until you have signed up for a NELL Patron Account.

Independent Study Hours

Licensed childcare providers can borrow materials toward the acquisition of independent study hours for teacher in-service and pre- service. Each 50 pages read count as one hour of independent study time; DVDs and videos provide a minute-for-minute exchange. You can find the independent study form on your NECPRS account.
